Dolce Rame Ortigia

We are in the beating heart of the wonderful island of Ortigia in Syracuse; precisely "Alla Giudecca", an ancient and suggestive neighborhood where there is the most important Jewish "bath" in Europe. All the most representative historical monuments can be reached in a few minutes by walking through the magical alleys of Ortigia, in a path where you can breathe history, myth and authenticity.

Thanks to its extraordinary artistic wealth, Syracuse has been recognized by Unesco as a "World Heritage Site".

“Dolce Rame” holiday home is located on the ground floor of a nice and small ancient building. It has an independent entrance and has been completely renovated with taste and precision. You will find modern and well-kept interiors. There are two rooms: - kitchen / living room with a comfortable sofa; - sleeping area with bedroom; - bathroom with a large and comfortable shower.

Relaxation and rest are guaranteed, after an intense day spent visiting and admiring the artistic beauties of the city, or after spending a pleasant day at the sea, moving between the marine protected area of "Plemmirio", the natural reserves of Vendicari and Calamosche, or simply among the golden beaches of the East coast.

"La Giudecca", the ancient Jewish neighborhood of Ortigia, is today in continuous creative ferment thanks to its workshops, typical shops and characteristic bars. The "Puppet Laboratory" is an attraction with an ancient and contemporary charm; very close to the Puppet laboratory is the San Filippo Apostolo Church, with its three underground levels that hold real historical treasures.

A little further on, in Piazza del Precursore, San Giovanni Battista Church (commonly known as San Giovannello) stands on a Paleochristian basilica. Ortigia and Syracuse are real open-air museums.
