Hey from Mattia Luca
Commare Maria Guest houses are now owned by Mattia and Umberto, grandchildren of Commare Maria. Thanks to their travels around the world they are accustommed to sharing experiences, meeting new cultures and have developed an outstanding sense hospitality.
This cosy and friendly Bed and Breakfast is also managed by Commare Maria’s son, Enzo, who is always available to give helpful advice on the best places to visit, eat and, of course, drink in the town and the surroundings.
"Our aim is to help increase sustainable tourism in Agnone and its historical centre by offering guests, as our Grandmother used to do, a memorable stay at her houses".

Area city center
Agnone has received the Orange flag, which is an eco-tourist award to small towns and villages across Italy. It is awarded by the Touring Club to towns and villages with a population of less than 15,000 people that make particular efforts towards welcoming tourism in an carefully maintained environment and promoting sustainable tourism, local industry and crafts.
The beauty of Agnone and its region Alto Molise is seductive and fascinating. The secret lies in the splendid balance between man and nature, intense spirituality and secular pride.
Alto Molise is situated on the border of the reserve Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo e Molise. Its wealth of natural and artistic wonder seems almost limitless. Travelling its mountains’ roads is a journey full of surprises, constantly suspended between the sign of a well-preserved past and a sustainable vocation for the future.
The region of Alto Molise has just as much to offer as other Italian regions that may be more famous: nature, history, culture, museums, gastronomy, epicurean delights and musical events.

What guests say
Guests consistently praise the warm welcome and helpfulness of the host. Rooms are described as comfortable, with quality beds and modern showers. The central location in the historic village is ideal for exploring on foot, and the peaceful atmosphere, plus the scent of fresh bread from a nearby bakery, are highlights. Some guests mentioned that cleanliness could be improved, but overall, the property offers excellent value for money.
