Description
B&B La Volpe is an independent house from 1900, completely renovated in 2023 following the latest innovations in construction and energy efficiency with low environmental impact thanks to the use of renewable energy sources such as solar and photovoltaic energy, and the total absence of gas.
We are located near the Cinque Terre Park, at an altitude of 300 meters on the hills surrounding Moneglia, completely immersed in nature, surrounded by olive trees, vineyards, citrus groves, woods, Mediterranean scrub, and many animals.
The view from the house ranges from the surrounding hills to the Gulf of Moneglia, and on clear days, you can spot Corsica and other islands of the Tuscan archipelago on the horizon.
The town center is less than an 8-minute drive away (5km) along a typical Ligurian road. There is also a shuttle service to the town center, with the stop located 150 meters from the house. For hiking enthusiasts, there are several trails that cross the surrounding woods or lead directly to the town center in about a 40-minute walk.
Moneglia boasts a beautiful sea and has several beaches, both sandy and rocky; it has held the Blue Flag recognition continuously since 1987!
The location of the house is strategic for those who also intend to visit the renowned Cinque Terre, easily reachable in a few minutes by train from Moneglia station or by sea with the boat departing from the town's marina.
Nearby are the towns of Sestri Levante, Lavagna, Chiavari, Rapallo, Santa Margherita Ligure, Portofino, and the San Fruttuoso Abbey, all easily reachable by train or boat.
The rooms and the breakfast room are located on the first floor of the house, accessible via an external independent staircase.
Both rooms are equipped with heating and cooling, and a private en-suite bathroom complete with a sink, toilet, bidet, and shower.
Guests have access to some books, board games, cards, a mini-fridge, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, an electric moka pot, and a capsule coffee machine in the breakfast room.
During the warmer seasons, breakfast can be served outdoors on the patio overlooking the hills and the gulf.
For hygiene reasons, walking with shoes inside the house is prohibited.
Outside, guests have access to sun loungers, umbrellas, a sofa, and a solar shower with hot/cold water.
Parking is possible along the street or inside the house depending on availability.

I am Roberto and I moved from Milan to Moneglia in 2023 pursuing one of my biggest dreams: living by the sea! After years of working in pharmaceutical companies, I decided to change my life, seeking tranquility and a slower pace, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Last weekend we stayed at B&B La Volpe, in Moneglia. It was a wonderful experience because, despite the terrible weather, we spent two magical days. From the welcome to the departure. The structure is located in a dream place: a 180° view of the hilly and marine landscape, so much greenery around perfect for walks and hikes. Convenient location to reach the main points of interest (the sea, Genoa, the Cinque Terre, etc.). The rooms are welcoming, very spacious and really clean! The owners are nice, kind and willing to meet various needs. Roberto served us an excellent breakfast, made with exceptional local products (top focaccia!) and always with a smile. Everything was really beautiful, we will come back soon!

The property is located in a very quiet area, not close to the city center but very relaxing, with a view onto the sea. It is exactly as shown in all the pictures. Super clean, outside area available for the guests to enjoy. Breakfast with anything you could ask for, gluten free options, soy milk, soy yogurt, toasts with ham and cheese, fruit, etc. The common space shared by the 2 rooms is very well equipped, kettle to make yourself a tea, biscuits, fruit, water in the fridge, a grill... all you need. The host will do everything to make you feel welcomed. Two important things to note: check-in can be (as stated on the site) only between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. If you do not have a car, you will need to rely on public transportation to reach the town of Moneglia (bus stop pretty close to the property), unless you are a hiker and happy to walk! Highly recommended!

Thanks to Roberto and Jonathan for their friendly hospitality that allowed us to spend some peaceful days in their B&B. Typical Ligurian house, immersed in greenery and with a splendid sea view, recently renovated with taste and simplicity. Roberto, very kind and attentive to the smallest details, prepares a rich breakfast. The only regret, due to the weather, is not being able to have breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Gulf of Moneglia. Highly recommended.

We stayed one night in this B&B in the hills of Moneglia. Very beautiful location, the B&B is well taken care of down to the smallest details, the breakfast is outstanding and the owners are very friendly and available. The Ligurian roads are obviously very narrow and steep, one must always pay attention because it is not easy to pass by the cars traveling in the opposite direction. Everything else is truly beautiful, you can enjoy a breathtaking view! I also recommend it to those who want to visit the Cinque Terre, from Moneglia you can take the train and in half an hour you will already arrive in Monterosso, so it is excellent. It is also a great place for trekking lovers, there are several walks on the promontory overlooking the sea. We will definitely return.

A simply wonderful B&B. A small gem in an oasis of peace. A brand new, welcoming, and spotless little house where everything is taken care of in the smallest details. Very beautiful structure on the hill of Moneglia. Quiet, peaceful, very well renovated and equipped with taste and attention to detail. Fantastic breakfast on the terrace with a view of the hill, the perched villages and the sea in the distance. Roberto welcomed us with kindness and friendliness. We stayed at this facility for ten days and we had a great time! The structure is surrounded by greenery but very close to all the main connecting roads! New and spotless rooms with particular care and attention also to the external area. Abundant and varied breakfast! We had a great time and above all we found two very kind and helpful managers who made us feel right at home and at ease!

Brand new property in the first inland of Moneglia. Bright rooms, furnished with extreme taste, very comfortable bed, well-equipped common area, everything you need to prepare a coffee, a tea, an herbal tea and a fridge that Roberto never fails to fill with water, fruit juices and yogurt. Nuovissimo B&B gestito da Roberto che con grande simpatia e cordialità ci ha fatto trascorrere un paio di giorni in totale relax e comfort. Adatto a coppie, la stanza è pulitissima e dotata di ogni comfort. La colazione è abbondante e servita direttamente dal padrone di casa. Abbiamo apprezzato molto i momenti di condivisione con Roberto e Jonathan e la conoscenza con l'altra coppia di ospiti. We had a great time thanks to the tranquility of the place and especially to the guys who were very kind and precise in their directions. Strategic place to visit the Cinque Terre and all the wonders of Liguria. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this property recommended by friends for only two nights, which were enough to immediately appreciate the kindness, availability, and friendliness of the two managers and to make us feel at home. The property is immersed in greenery, yet in a strategic and panoramic position, very clean, fragrant, and equipped with every comfort. The breakfast is impeccable, sweet and savory, served in the super modern living area of the property. In short... it is really very difficult for us to find a flaw! We stayed 2 nights at B&B La Volpe during the Easter weekend, despite the weather not being on our side we had a great time thanks to the friendliness and courtesy of Roberto, the super host. Brand new and carefully curated structure in every detail with love and passion! Roberto is an incredible host and the welcome and stay throughout the stay were fantastic. The breakfast excellent with fresh sweet and savory; the toast was really great. The location is optimal for those looking for a quiet and relaxing area to enjoy sunsets over the sea. Not to be underestimated the parking and excellent possibility of agreements with the parking lots in the center of Moneglia. It was a super weekend, appreciated by everyone including our little dog! We will definitely be back, we have an outstanding cappuccino with focaccia!
