The archaeological remains of Luni can also be reached on foot or by bicycle through a peaceful country road, crossing the historic village of Marinella di Sarzana, still imbued with its rural charm.
By car, you can visit numerous renowned locations nearby: the quarries and trails of the Apuan Alps, Versilia (Forte dei Marmi, Viareggio), the Ligurian coast (Fiascherino, Tellaro, Lerici, Porto Venere, Palmaria Island, Cinque Terre), and Lunigiana with its medieval castles.
By boat from Marina di Carrara or Lerici and La Spezia, you can reach Cinque Terre and Portofino, which can be visited on day trips.

By car: exit the highway at the Carrara toll booth. Turn right onto Galileo Galilei Avenue towards the sea. Once you reach the coastal road (second traffic light), turn right and continue towards Sarzana for about 700 meters until you reach the border with Liguria (bridge over the Parmignola river), then turn left until you reach the Ambra bathing establishment.

Great location right on the beach. The manager was very kind both during booking and afterwards. The price of the room also included the beach setup, and on Sundays the manager allowed us access at no additional cost. The room is small and essential, but equipped with a small fridge, microwave, and TV. The property also has a bar/restaurant, but the waiting times are a bit long. Nevertheless, the quality/price ratio is really great, highly recommended for those who don't have excessive demands and want to spend little while still having services. 1 km from the Carrara fairs, within walking distance.
