B&B Mugello

Our B&B is located in a splendid panoramic hilly area near the town of Gattaia, immersed in the greenery of the splendid Mugello countryside. About 15 minutes by car (8 km) you can have all the services such as supermarkets, the baker, the pharmacy, the train station, the butcher or the greengrocer.

The natural, wild and harmonious environment, the dense network of hiking trails, the possibility of visiting numerous castles, museums and villas, ancient residences of the Medici family and the excellent local cuisine, make this area the ideal destination for your vacation.

Our house is perched on a hill in a splendid position, from which you can dominate the valley and see the villages of Vicchio, Molezzano and Caselle in the distance.

Being inside a hunting reserve it is not difficult, in spring and summer, to come across young roe deer and foxes or wild boars. For the more passionate and patient, "armed" with a good camera and waking up very early in the morning, it is possible to go bird watching, spotting numerous species of native birds and those passing through for the season.

Antonella and Alessandro have lived here for several years now and only in 2007 did they decide to undertake this very special activity, with the desire to always meet new people, share their way of life, their traditions. Upon reservation it is possible to have wine and oil tastings at local farms and cooking courses. In fact, the Mugello cuisine is absolutely worth trying with its potato tortelli, "chestnut" desserts, truffles, saffron.. and you have the desire to discover all the others!
Access to wi-fi is possible in every part of the structure, so you will easily be able to read your emails, perhaps to check museum reservations or to plan the following day's excursion. The B&B is located on a hill about 480 meters above sea level. the. m. and for this reason it enjoys an excellent climate even during the hottest summer months, despite this all the rooms are equipped with air conditioning and it is also possible to use the laundry in the dedicated area for a small extra fee, just ask the owners for information. There is a fully equipped kitchen available for guests to prepare quick lunches to eat in the garden or snacks to take with them during daily excursions to the nearby trekking trails.

It will certainly be the ideal place for those who want to spend a quiet and relaxing holiday, in contact with nature in a still completely uncontaminated environment!
