Palalottomatica
The PalaLottomatica of Rome is the capital’s largest events venue.
It was constructed as a Sports Hall for the EUR district for the 1960 Rome Olympics, with a project by Pierluigi Nervi and Marcello Piacentini. It was subsequently refurbished and returned to the city by the Forum Group, that appointed Massimiliano Fuksas to personalise the external glass facade, which is inspired by the Neapolitan grimace (smorfia). The Forum Group manages the venue through the company All Events.
More than 850,000 visit the PalaLottomatica every year.
