Miti Dello Stretto B&B

Via Garibaldi, 128b MESSINA | Area: city center
Declared by the Innkeeper

This exclusive location combines a strategic position with a mythical and surreal atmosphere thanks to the panoramic views it offers and the large paintings that characterize the rooms dedicated to the myths of the Strait of Messina: "Orion", "Colapesce", "Scylla and Charybdis" and "Fata Morgana". The B&B is located on the first floor, with an elevator, of an elegant 1970s building located in the historic center of Messina, amidst bars, restaurants, and shops of all kinds.

Just a few steps away, there are the seafront promenade, Villa Mazzini with the municipal aquarium, the Vittorio Emanuele Theater, Piazza Duomo, and the Vittorio Emanuele Gallery. It is also close to Viale Boccetta, the road that leads to the highway exit, and Via Garibaldi, the artery that crosses the historic center and leads in a few minutes to Piazza Cairoli, and from there to Viale San Martino, the shopping street.

The completely renovated apartment, with contemporary and functional design, offers four bedrooms, a shared room with a veranda overlooking the sea and the mountains, and an open kitchen available to guests.

The rooms, equipped with every comfort and private bathroom, offer suggestive views of the mountains, the historical places of the city, or the sea, facing the Madonnina dello Stretto and Calabria. What makes them unique and precious are the large paintings specially commissioned to a well-known local artist to evoke the myths of the Strait.

The Colapesce suite, in particular, offers a Jacuzzi that, like the balcony, overlooks the Madonnina dello Stretto. The same view is available for the room dedicated to Scylla and Charybdis, towards the city and its churches, and the view reserved for Fata Morgana and Orion.

In addition, guests have access to books about Messina, its poetry, history, myths, and legends, as well as many good tips on the many places to discover in Messina and throughout the island.
