The location of this B&B in the heart of Pigneto; the layout and type of accommodation (new, spotlessly clean, comfortable, spacious, and well organized); and the welcoming attitude of the owner (friendliness, availability, advice, and information) make it the ideal place for any type of stay, be it vacation or business.
Furthermore, Pigneto is strategically located in Rome, just 5 km from the city center and well connected to all public transportation in the capital.
The B&B consists of 2 rooms, each with its own exclusive bathroom. The rooms are cozy and well furnished, each equipped with internet connection. All bathrooms have a shower and hairdryer. Buongiornopigneto is located 15 minutes from Termini station (bus 105 metro laziali-pantano) and 10 minutes from Tiburtina station (bus 409).
The Pigneto area - Intense, rough, and with a beautiful history, Pigneto was originally an ancient estate of meadows and pine trees that became a railway goods yard in the early 20th century. It was here, around the 1920s, that various communities of immigrants began to settle.
The Necci Bar was born here in 1924, later becoming Gelateria Impero, and then, after the war, a bar, restaurant, and osteria run by the children of the founder, Enrico Necci. It was here that Pasolini discovered the poetry of the suburbs: "Accattone" was filmed here, as well as Rossellini's "Rome, Open City" and Pietro Germi's "The Railroad Man" – all set in Pigneto.
Today, the neighborhood is experiencing a trendy season of activities, reminiscent of a reimagined Tribeca in New York. It is therefore no coincidence that the dining options range from ethnic to trendy, from a wine shop to an osteria. Fans of African cuisine can find traditional flavors at Mesob.
At Tiger Tandoori, Indian cuisine flourishes, while Yakiniku offers refined Japanese dishes. There are also Lebanese options at Beirut, a Greek taverna at Egeo, and even flavors from Central America at Paraiso del Paladar.
The chic dining spot is undoubtedly Primo, with its elegant contemporary decor and a kitchen of robust flavors and inventive creations. Santeria also offers great decor and good aperitifs, while Necci dal 1924 brings back the taste of old Pigneto with a nod to current trends.
