August 2022, my husband and I decide to go to Sicily to visit his family. To break up the journey, about 15 hours, we look for a strategic yet relaxing solution. There is nothing better than a good sleep to restart and face the second part of the trip.
After a long list of options, we are convinced by the B&B Tramonto sul Mare in Salerno. The first strength of our choice, for our type of trip, is undoubtedly the distance; exactly halfway to our final destination. Other benefits, certainly the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms, the proximity to the sea, and the feeling of being a snap of the fingers away from Amalfi. It almost felt like hearing the chatter of tanned tourists returning from their boat trip.
Of course, the proximity to the sea has its pros and cons. One of them is the nightlife. Unfortunately, we didn't find the much-desired tranquility we were looking for a restful sleep before the restart. Another disappointment was the lack of parking. After 7 hours of travel, going back and forth from the B&B to the car and the room on return felt a bit cumbersome.
I found the room prices high for my experience, but objectively, they are average.
